Standard Stainless Steel 316 (UNS S31600) marine-grade pipes are specified for chemical processing equipment, offshore platforms, coastal architectural structures, and pulp/paper manufacturing lines. Containing 2-3% molybdenum, SS 316 maintains excellent structural integrity and severe pitting immunity when exposed to saline water, de-icing salts, and acidic chemical solutions.
