Standard Stainless Steel 317 (UNS S31700) high-molybdenum pipes are widely employed in flue gas desulfurization (FGD) systems, paper pulp bleaching equipment, chemical processing vessels, and petrochemical pipelines handling sulfur-bearing acids. The increased addition of molybdenum and chromium ensures long-term operational life where conventional 304 or 316 alloys suffer localized corrosion or stress cracking.
