Special Stainless Steel 2205 Duplex (UNS S31803 / S32205 / 1.4462) plates and sheets are heavily specified in oil & gas exploration piping systems, chemical processing tankers, marine cargo holds, wastewater digestion tanks, and desalination plants. The balanced dual-phase microstructure gives 2205 outstanding mechanical capacity, enabling thinner gauge designs without compromising structural integrity or pitting resistance (PREN ≥ 34).
