Standard Stainless Steel 316/316L Plate

Standard Stainless Steel 316/316L (UNS S31600/S31603 / W.Nr. 1.4401/1.4404) is a molybdenum-bearing austenitic stainless steel plate. Featuring 2–3% molybdenum alongside high chromium and nickel levels, it provides superior resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion in chloride and marine environments compared to 304/304L. The low-carbon 316L variant ensures maximum resistance to sensitization during heavy welding.
